So it’s October 1st, and you know what means: It’s officially, without a doubt, the Halloween season. Because we’re obsessed with all things spooky, we started ringing in Allhallowtide here at The Taste Basket in September—but most well-adjusted folks would agree that in truth, The Big O is the most appropriate time to really start celebrating everyone’s favorite day to dress like a ghoul and beg for Snickers.
So we asked ourselves, what’s our best way into October?
And we decided to aim straight for the heart, with a new video series all about Halloween and why we love it called The Monster Mashketeers. 
In each video, you’ll hear from a new “Mashketeer” (i.e. “Halloween freak”) about their personal experiences with the holiday: Some memories, some musings, some notable scares and the like. While each Mashketeer talks, you can feast your eyes on clips from all your favorite horror movies and public domain footage of whacky trick ‘r treaters. Who knows—you might even see some old Halloween photos of some of the Mashketeers themselves.
The best part? You can expect a steady flow of Mashketeer videos all throughout October. After all, who wants just one piece of candy?
